Peter Kruse †

30. Januar 1955 – 01. Juni 2015

Prof. Peter Kruse was the founder and inspiration behind nextpractice. For more than 15 years, he worked as a scientist, at the interface between neurophysiology and experimental psychology, investigating complexity processing in intelligent networks. At the beginning of the 1990s, he restructured the management of a family-owned production company and founded a management consultancy that focused on the application and practical transfer of self-organisation concepts to entrepreneurship issues. Using an independent change management approach and compelling impulse lectures, he caused a sensation as a consultant, both in Germany and abroad. In 2005, the magazine “Computerwoche” described the multiple award-winning mastermind as “Germany’s Change Management Pope”.

In 2009, “Personalmagazin” once again selected him for inclusion on the list of the “40 Leading Minds in Human Resources”. In 2010, among other lectures, the “network expert” Peter Kruse spoke before the Enquete Commission for “Internet and Digital Society” in the German Parliament. In more recent years, his focus was primarily on analysing changes in the market and society and translating them into sustainable, successful entrepreneurial initiatives. The media bestowed the title of Network Culture Guru on him in 2013, and since then, they have constantly disseminated the findings of this innovative network researcher and internet expert. In mid-2014, he was ranked among the Top 10 by the HRM Research Institute, in their quest to find the top 500 pioneers of human resource management in Europe.

Prof. Peter Kruse passed away suddenly and unexpectedly, due to heart failure, on 01.06.2015, aged 60.

He had great plans for the following years, because he was most concerned by the increase in social divisions. He wanted to realise a lifelong dream, and alongside nextpractice, he planned to found an institute that would promote better understanding of the complex coexistence within our society and encourage discourse for a world worth living in.

His spirit will continue to penetrate and shape our company and our work in the future. He will remain in our thoughts. We will remember him with great respect for his life’s work and we will forever remain strongly bound to his cause.
